Governor Inslee visits Cavelero Mid High School

Students from the Lake Stevens School District’s engineering classes and their teachers were excited to share what they have learned with Governor Jay Inslee and his wife during Inslee’s visit to Cavelero Mid High School on Friday, January 13. Inslee was joined by Representatives John Lovick and Mark Harmsworth as well as school board members, administrators and other dignitaries to witness first hand, how Lake Stevens schools are being creative in educating students.

Robotics and DECA on the move

There have been several notable achievements at the school lately, especially in regards to clubs. The Robotics Club experienced a big win recently. Lake Stevens High School participated in a competition at Seattle Prep with about 50 teams competing. Lake Stevens High School sent 5 teams, and Cavelero sent 4. The competition consisted of 6 qualifying matches the quarter and semi finals, ending in a win for Lake Stevens.

LSHS Robotic Team heads to Worlds for the third time

Lake Stevens High School Team 8931A with seniors Aiden Pyle, Ryan Sobosky, Andrew Deebach, Jordan Conner, and Skyler Baugher, more commonly as The 5 Guys, won the World Award in the Robotics Team Website Challenge and received an invitation to the 2017 VEX Worlds Competition in Louisville, Kentucky April 19 -22.

The Lake Stevens Robotics Team is something that every student has heard about at school – their competitions have been broadcasted on the cafeteria TVs, so their successes have been no strangers to the hallways of LSHS. However, they won their last award in a competition about a side of robotics that is less known.

The 5 Guys win award at VEX Worlds

The 5 Guys, seniors Ryan Sobosky, Aiden Pyle, Skyler Baugher, Andrew Deebach and Jordan Conner won a Website Award at eh VEX Worlds last month in Louisville, Kentucky.

 

 

Lake Stevens, Mukilteo robotics teams back from worlds

The VEX Robotics Competition State Championship was held March 11 in Ellensburg.

V-Bots The Five Guys Team 8931A and V-Bots Tarros Team 8931G, both of Cavelero Mid High School in Lake Stevens, were tournament finalists. They went on to compete at the VEX Worlds Competition, held April 19-22 in Louisville, Kentucky. The 5 Guys were among the winners of an online challenge.
